Do you know what E-Waste is? E-Waste is electronics that you never use any more; like old TV's, cell phones, and computers. Instead of letting E-Waste clutter your closets, here’s how to get rid of it, the right way. Most communities have special collection days for E-Waste, usually at a local school or dump site. Some charities also sponsor E-Waste pickups at your home; go online to find out when and where. E-Waste is sorted, and mechanically shredded. Reusable metals are removed and recycled. Your closets and the environment will thank you.

The Back Story

Every busy household needs a family message center. Here’s a simple way to make a custom chalkboard for your house. To start, go to your neighborhood home improvement store and get a wood board. Make sure you sand it to a smooth finish. Then, wipe it clean and apply a coat of primer. When it’s completely dry, you’re ready for the fun part. Take a can of chalkboard spray paint, and get creative. Once the board is covered wait twenty-four hours. Then, rub the side of the piece of the chalk over every inch of it. Wipe off the chalk with a damp cloth and your new family message center is ready to hang.

Let’s face it most of us have endless stacks of paperwork, magazines and unfortunately tons of junk mail entering our homes and offices.  In all reality though, all paperwork is the same whether you work in an office, from home, or simply handle your families’ papers.

The Back Story

Here are three top clutter-busters to help you stay organized.  First, create a designated drop spot for everything you carry when you walk into your house.  It can be as simple as a tray for keys, mail and sunglasses.  Then try an all-in-one charging station for all your electronics.  And you’ll never forget your phone on the way out.  Finally, get an old-school paper sorter for your table.  You can prioritize bills, invitations and flyers in minutes
