Repair Scratches on Wood

Does your favorite chair have a noticeable scratch? Here’s a simple spot repair trick so you won’t have to refinish the entire piece of furniture. You can get furniture-retouching sticks at your local hardware store in several different wood colors.  They’re made of wax, so you just run the stick firmly along the scratch filling it with color. Carefully remove any extra wax with the edge of a credit card. Let the wax harden then buff off with a soft polishing cloth. Good as new. For a super quick fix, look in your children’s room for a brown marker and give that a try.
